QR Standards

The module supports four different QR standards. When setting up an account, you can choose automatic detection or a specific standard.

Automatic Detection (Recommended)

When selecting “Auto detect by order”, the module automatically determines the correct standard based on:

1. Billing country of the order
2. Currency of the order

Recommendation

For most e-shops, we recommend using automatic detection. You don’t need to worry about which standard to use - the module handles everything automatically based on the order. This prevents issues with incompatible QR codes for customers from different countries.

QR Platba (CZ)

Czech standard for QR payments supported by all Czech banks.

Note

For Czech payments, you can enter either IBAN or account number with bank code. The module automatically converts the account number to IBAN.

Recommendation

Although “Recipient name” is not required for the CZ standard, we recommend filling it in. Some banking apps (e.g., AirBank) may have trouble reading the QR code without this information.

Pay by Square (SK)

Slovak standard used by Slovak banks.

Server Requirements

The Slovak standard requires XZ utils installed on the server. If the server does not support this library, enable compatibility mode.

Hungarian standard (HU)

Hungarian standard for QR payments.

European standard for SEPA payments, supported by banks in the eurozone.

EPC standard is automatically used for all countries except CZ, SK, and HU when the currency is EUR.

*For CZ standard, either IBAN or account number with bank code is sufficient.

⚡ Not required for CZ, but recommended - some banks (e.g., AirBank) require it.

Important Limitation

Each QR standard works only for a specific country and currency. The CZ standard cannot be used for Slovak or other foreign payments. If you sell to multiple countries, set up a separate account with the appropriate standard for each country.
