Google Merchants Feed

Google Merchants feed settings are located at WooCommerce → Settings → Wpify Woo → Google Merchants Feed. Always save changes using the button at the bottom of the page.

OptionDescription
Exclude out of stock itemsOnly include products with “In stock” or “On backorder” status
Exclude items on backorderExclude products with “On backorder” status
Exclude items without categoryExclude products not assigned to a category with a mapped Google category

The <ITEM_ID> tag defaults to the product’s database ID. To use a different value, enter the custom field slug.

The <GTIN> tag defaults to the EAN field (if enabled in global settings) or product SKU. Enter a custom field slug to use a different value.

Select the default condition for all products: New, Used, or Refurbished. This can be overridden per product.

Choose which description to use in the feed:

  • Long description (default) — full product description
  • Short description — product excerpt
  • Parent description — parent product description (for variations)

Configure the <BRAND> tag globally using one of three methods:

  1. Fixed text — enter the brand name directly
  2. Custom field — enter the slug of a custom field or third-party plugin field
  3. Taxonomy — enter the taxonomy identifier (e.g., product attribute)

Select the matching Brand type value: Text, Custom field, or Taxonomy.

Configure global shipping settings with the following attributes:

AttributeRequiredDescription
CountryYesISO 3166 country code (e.g., CZ, SK)
RegionNoRegion code (if the country is divided into regions)
ServiceNoDelivery type or speed
PriceNoFixed shipping price including tax and currency code (e.g., 99.50 CZK)
Min/Max handling timeNoProcessing time in days
Min/Max transit timeNoDelivery time in days

Optionally map a custom category to the <product_type> tag. Leave empty to omit from the feed, or select a product category to include the full category path.

Choose how the Google category value appears in the feed:

  • Category ID — numeric Google category identifier
  • Category tree — full category path text

For variable products with attributes set to “any” value (where not every combination is explicitly defined as a variation), enable Expand generic variations to generate a separate feed item per attribute combination. Each generated item gets a unique id, URL with pre-selected attributes, and product detail attributes.

A built-in cap of 500 combinations per variation prevents runaway expansion on misconfigured products. To raise it for legitimate large catalogs, see the wpify_woo_feeds_max_combinations_per_variation filter.

Map your WooCommerce product categories to Google product categories. Products inherit the mapped Google category based on their shop categorization.

Each product (and variation) has a dedicated Google Merchants Feed tab in the product edit screen where you can override global settings:

  • Exclude from feed
  • Custom title, description, and images
  • Category override
  • Condition, brand, GTIN, MPN
  • Custom parameters
  • Age group, gender, adult flag
