Licenses & Activation
In the Activations section you manage your plugin licenses and their activations on individual websites.
How Licenses Work
Section titled “How Licenses Work”Each purchased plugin has a license that:
- Is tied to a subscription (annual renewal)
- Is domain-specific - bound to a specific domain
- Allows one activation on one domain (unless stated otherwise for the product)
License Overview
Section titled “License Overview”The table shows your products and their licenses:
| Information | Description |
|---|---|
| Product | Plugin name |
| Subscription | Link to associated subscription |
| Validity | Date until which license is valid |
| Activations | Number of used/available activations |
| Domains | List of activated domains |
Number of Activations
Section titled “Number of Activations”By default, each license is valid for one activation on one domain. If you need the plugin on multiple websites, you need to purchase multiple licenses.
Activating Plugin on Website
Section titled “Activating Plugin on Website”To activate a license on a new website:
- Install the plugin on your WordPress website
- Go to plugin settings
- Click Activate Domain or Connect License
- Log in to your WPify account
- Confirm adding the domain
After successful activation, the domain will appear in the list of activated domains.
Deactivating a Domain
Section titled “Deactivating a Domain”If you want to move a license to another website:
- In the Activations section, find the relevant plugin
- Contact support at support@wpify.io
- Specify the domain you want to deactivate
License Expiration
Section titled “License Expiration”After license expiration (unpaid subscription):
- Most plugins will continue to work without restrictions
- You won’t receive updates
- You won’t have access to support
- Activations remain preserved
To renew a license, pay the subscription in the Subscriptions section.
Can I use one license on multiple websites?
By default no - each license is bound to one domain. For multiple websites you need multiple licenses. The exception is WordPress Multisite, where one license covers the entire network.
Can I move activation to another domain?
Yes, first deactivate the existing domain in plugin settings or contact support. After deactivation you can activate the license on another website.
Does the license work on staging/test domains?
Staging and test subdomains (e.g. staging.mydomain.com) usually don’t count toward the activation limit. If you have problems, contact support.
Will the plugin stop working after license expires?
Most plugins work even after license expiration, but without updates and support. Some plugins may have limited functionality - specific information can be found in the documentation for that plugin.
